How eggs work in Grow a Garden

Eggs are bought from the Pet Shop (or earned from events) and hatched at the incubator. Each egg has a fixed hatch time and a drop table — a list of pets with individual drop chances. When the hatch timer expires, you get one random pet weighted by those chances. Drop rates are public knowledge and verified across community trades.

Hatch time speedup

Place hatch-helper pets in your active garden to reduce hatch time. The 5 main helpers (Sunny Side Chicken +15%, Rooster +12%, Blood Kiwi +12%, Bald Eagle +10%, Kiwi +8%) stack additively to +57% reduction. The cap is +90% — past that, more helpers don't help. With +57% a Zen Egg drops from 8h to 3h 26m.

Which egg drops the rarest pet?
Zen Egg (8h hatch) drops Kitsune (Prismatic, 0.5%). Anti Bee Egg drops Butterfly + Disco Bee (Mythical/Divine, 1% each). Springtide Egg (Easter 2026) drops Peryton (Prismatic, 0.5%) and Nyala (Mythical).
What is the cheapest profitable egg?
Uncommon Egg — guaranteed Capybara at 5% drop rate. Capybara is the best XP helper, and at higher pet weight Capybara also has decent trade-token value. Cheap to spam-hatch.
How long does each egg type take?
Common Egg: 10 min. Uncommon: 30 min. Bug Egg: 4h. Premium / Bee / Anti-Bee: 6h. Zen Egg: 8h. Event eggs vary 2–8h. With 5 hatch helpers (+57%) all times drop ~57% — Zen Egg → ~3h 26m.
Do egg drop rates rotate?
No — drop rates are fixed per egg. The Seed Shop's STOCK rotates, but the drop chances inside each egg never change. Some eggs are season-locked (Springtide only during Easter event).
Can I hatch the same pet twice?
Yes — each hatch is independent. There's no pity counter. A 1% drop rate means each hatch has 1% chance, regardless of past attempts. To get a Kitsune at 0.5% you need ~140 Zen Egg hatches for 50% confidence.
Best egg for trading?
Anti Bee Egg or Zen Egg — top mythical/prismatic pets (Butterfly, Disco Bee, Kitsune) hold the highest trade token values in the game.
