Grow a Garden Trade Values Explained (April 2026)

How trade values work in Grow a Garden — the formula, the market data, why values change, and how to never get scammed.

TL;DR

Pet trade value is reported in Trade Tokens — the in-game currency of the Trade World (introduced 2025). Tokens scale only with weight (not age), and curves are flat for the first ~55% of max weight then explode exponentially at the top. Always run trades through Grow a Garden Calculator and WFL Checker.

Formula

tokens(weight) = interpolate(datapoints, weight) × mutation × demand

  • datapoints — per-pet anchor table (e.g. Disco Bee: 1.4kg=180, 39kg=250, 70kg=5K, 114kg=120K)
  • mutation — 1.0 (none) to 5.0 (Ascended)
  • demand — user-adjustable market signal (0.5×–2×)

    • Note: age is NOT part of the formula — modern community calculators (game.guide, tradekitsune, growagardencalculator) all ignore age. Weight is the only input that matters at trade time.

    Trade Tokens vs Sheckles

    Trade Tokens are a separate in-game currency from Sheckles. There is no fixed conversion rate; tokens are minted at Trade Booths. Crops sell for Sheckles, pets trade for Tokens.

  • Supply shifts (events drop new pets → values dip)

    How is trade value calculated?
    tokens(weight) = interpolate(datapoints, weight) × mutation × demand. Weight is the only stat that affects the underlying token amount; age is irrelevant at trade time.
